Cyberattacks? A possible legacy of Yoshitaka Sakurada? Despite being deputy chief of the government's cyber-security strategy office, Sakurada admitted to the Japanese Diet in Nov 2018 that he had never used, and did not know how to use, a computer. “At the forum in Tokyo, Sakurada said that "I was aiming for the position of PM, but I cannot speak English and I cannot use (never used) a personal computer, so I will give up on it." -

Despicable behaviour in the current situation, not surprising from criminal scum, but that such should originate from foreign states is beyond despicable. Sadly from Russia and China it is par for the course.

there's a big confusion there.

spam mail doesn't constitute a cyberatack.

I’m all for countries hacking Big Pharma so they can develop vaccines and medicines to help their populations.

But spam, blackmail, robbery is a crime.

Is this not a ‘National’ issue warranting ‘headlines’ there?

So it's spam and Phising emails mostly but they calling it Cyber Attacks, Damn if that is how they see it, my business has been under constant cyber attack since day one, and the number of times it gets DNS attacks blows this virus centers figures to the weeds.

Do any of these people have any idea what they are actually talking about.,. ?

What are you complaining and making differences between all those cyber attacks? It’s all the same bad thing, stealing our time , attempting to get private data or even implement destroying code snippets into one’s IT infrastructure. Personally, I have always the same bad feeling and a certain unwanted amount of work, wether I have to delete an unwanted email , to run virus scanning programs, to reset the computer or even reinstall the system. I just don’t want any of that, taking, time , effort and pleasure from my limited budgets. I wouldn’t make big differences , if someone sends me mass email spams or attacks a local nuclear plant. Those attacking psychos belong all into prisons, period. As taking an apple out of the shelves and intentionally killing someone are also both crimes and prosecuted.

Why don’t these attackers use their time for meaningful activities to help themselves and the world.

No doubt the chinese trying to find out how well their contamination is working

Phishing, spear-phishing and malware like EMOTET is not cyberattack. It's the end users allowing such things to happen. The company I work for does IT security / auditing and Japanese users are one among the lowest IT educated people. Government/local governments basically don't care about IT security, have very little policy about BYOD, custom peripherals, employees receive little to none education about e-mail dangers.

How funny, I get about 6 to 10 of these E Mails a day from Japanese sources too, is that a cyberattack too, one these E mails read " An arrest warrant has been issued" so I freaked out and almost fell to it. LOL
