A 24-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of killing her mother by stomping on her head at their home in Tokyo's Nerima Ward. The woman, Etsuko Komori, 52, died of her head injuries three days after the incident, which occurred on Oct 14, Fuji TV reported Thursday.

The suspect, Mika Komori, who works as a caregiver, has admitted to the charge and was quoted by police as saying she stomped on her mother's head as she slept after they had a heated argument.

Komori called 110 on Oct 17 to report that her mother had died.

"The suspect, Mika Komori, who works as a caregiver, has admitted to the charge and was quoted by police as saying she stomped on her mother’s head as she slept after they had a heated argument."

Another nutbag. Hope Mika realizes that, "Hey, compared to these people in prison, maybe my mom wasn't that bad. Hey, maybe I shouldn't have stomped on her head and killed her because I was upset!"

These morons never think. Let her rot in prison for life, please.

Sick and spoiled, horrible excuse of a person.

Had an argument (over something trivial I imagine), then can't stand losing, so stamps on her mother as she sleeps.

Let's hope you spend a lifetime on solitary, with a big portrait of your mum hung in your cell as a reminder.

Hang on! She stomped on her mother's head after she had gone to sleep, which would have been some time after the 'heated argument', would it not? Wouldn't that be premeditated and carry the death penalty?

Some of these killings of parents are done in the most vicious way possible... I wonder if there is so much repressed emotion in Japan that when it comes out, it comes out in bouts of ultra violence.

Don't give in to pure evil. If you're ever upset with somebody take only 5 seconds before do/say something nasty.

There's no sadist like a Japanese sadist.

she stomped on her head on the 14th and called the ambulance on the 17th. I wonder if the mother just lay for three days until she died. Very sad.

Thunderbird2, I have often wondered about that - with the way Japanese suppress their emotions, it's bound to build up and cause negative actions such as this one. We humans are emotional beings and need to let out steam in someway or else...

Oh dear, I'm speechless. It’s horrible news. What went wrong with today Japanese society? PM Abe has interesting to investigate what went wrong with today Japanese society? It's important than Abenomic because you can't build great country with unhealthy society. Also the materialism is killing Japanese moral and the traditional way of looking after parent and helping each others in Japan. I have read many homicide crimes committing by young mother killing her child and daughter or son murdering one or both of parent in News almost every weeks. If we were parent in 60s or 70s and then we will sell home and divide between children and go to Nursing home as early as we can. It will be safer than living with crazy materialized children. The mental illness is epidemic in Japan but Government does nothing to improve mental health of its citizens. Mental illness education, prevention and treatment should be Government first priority in 2017.

How to tackle the lack of emotional control/understanding/empathy............. I always find is sad that in japanese the word communicating is a borrowed word.

Just disgusting. If you dont like it or you cant see eye to eye with what your mom has to tell you, then move out. I understand the feelings of anger that come with belittlement, but to carry out any physical violence against your own mother is sick. She will have a long time to reflect on this horrible crime she made a decision to do in the heat of the moment.

Words fail she waited 3 days before she called the 110?

If Japanese were allowed to carry guns homicide and random killings would surpass other countries I have lived here more than 30 years and cannot still read a Japanese mind

Imagine that stomping your mother's head to death after she gave birth to you. To watch you growing up. Always besides you when u were ill. Attending in school event and meeting to show how great mother she is, but in a small amount of miss understanding maybe an advice from a mother but she take it as an offensive and she killed and let her mother to die, without calling for help or bring her to hospital? Evil things

Or maybe the mother made Joan Crawford of 'Mommie Dearest' look like Glinda the Good Witch of the South.

They were saying on the Japanese news that the mother was an alcoholic.

mom is our earth angel even if she is the worst mom still she deserves respect...this is very sad and disappointed to hear a Japanese daughter did such a wild action on her mom whereas Japan is well known for unique respect element in its culture...
