Dead woman found in car in Sendai

A 51-year-old woman was found dead in her car on the 6th floor of a car park near JR Sendai station on Thursday, after an employee notified police at around 4.30 p.m.

The car entered the car park on Monday night and a check on all vehicles carried out Tuesday morning revealed no irregularities, but an employee noticed a woman lying in the passenger seat on Wednesday afternoon. When the woman was still in the same position the next day and did not respond to the employee calling out to her, he notified officers at a nearby police box.

Police found the car locked. The front passenger seat was reclined and the woman was covered up to her face with a light blanket. There were strangulation marks on her neck, believed to have been inflicted by a cord of some type. An autopsy will be carried out Friday to confirm the cause of death.

Hmmm, what could it be?

In all honesty, it IS possible that the marks came later and/or she died from something else too. Who knows.

Poor woman.

I'm guessing strangulation. If something else killed her, why strangle her?

Well, technically she could have died from a heart attack during the strangulation for all we know. While it seems obvious to us, they do autopsys to verify anyway.

suicide, they'll say

The best places to leave dead bodies in cars are those massive car-parks at international airports - the ones that go on for acres and acres.

Sendai again - what is it with that place?

So he waited until the next day to see if the woman would respond?
