A woman was found dead in a hotel room in Nago, Okinawa, on Saturday. An unconscious man was found on the floor in the same room and is suspected of killing the woman, police said Sunday.
According to police, the body of the woman, who was middle-aged, was found by a hotel employee at around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday in the business hotel, Fuji TV reported. She was lying face-up on the bed and had several injuries on her body.
The man, who was unconscious on the floor beside the bed, was taken to hospital. Police said that on the way to hospital, he regained consciousness and said he had killed a woman. He also said he had slit his wrists because he wanted to die.
Police said they plan to wait until the man recovers from his injuries before arresting him on suspicion of murder.
Investigators said that the man and woman had come from outside Okinawa and checked in at the hotel at noon on Friday, planning to stay just one night. After they failed to check out by noon Saturday, an employee went to the room and found them.

Did he feel guilty for killing the woman? I don't believe she wanted to die if she had several injuries on her body. That sounds like he became too rough with her.
Interesting thing about Japan is that people are not arrested in the hospital. In America, you would still be considered under arrest even while you are receiving your treatment at the medical facility.

Sad, wonder what the root of the trouble was, possible financial issues.

What’s up with Okinawa?
People coming there to die now, instead of the Fuji Forest?
