I hope that's not other case of hostage justice, and forced confessions.

Innocent people will confess anything to get out of the solitary confinement.

So many times before they have sentenced people to death based solely on forced confessions.

@bokuda I agree

Did the disinfectant result in a painful death or did they peacefully pass on? The judges will consider the viciousness (was it painful?) and the callousness (doing it so she didn't have to deal with their deaths on her shift) of the crime as well as the premeditation, and consider all other factors (such as this is her first time in criminal trouble and whether she can ever be rehabilitated.) If the deaths were painful, then I expect she will get the death sentence.

A person needs to kill at least 3 people to get a death penalty in Japan.

Since 1993, there have been 15 executions for single murders.

How can a person showing traits of autism become a nurse? Or if those traits were exhibited after the person got the job as a nurse, why was that person allowed to continue in the job?

How can a person showing traits of autism become a nurse?

Indeed, individuals wholly deficient of empathy are not the ones you ideally want in caregiving roles.

Beverly Allitt springs to mind.

TrevorPeace,

""How can a person showing traits of autism become a nurse? ""

Untrue. Other factors come into it, in terms of motive, victims and offenders ages, method of murder and more. People have and do get executed for killing less than three.

I see no reason why this evil woman should not be hung.

Rest in peace to the poor victims.

Sad and extremely disturbing, seniors are admitted to a hospital so they can pass away in peace loving care and dignity, but when you have an EVIL hiding in a white uniform creeping around them choosing the timing of death and who will die is beyond the death penalty.

She's not trusted to work in a nursing home, but her (forced) confession is.

Please don't kill her without some evidence.

It must be proven beyond any doubt that she did it.

What a terrible nurse if she did it. I had a hospital IV a month ago.

Every action brings its consequences..

Knowing that in Japan there is a death penalty for murder, then don't do it..

Japan Law is Japan Law, so be it..

Killing is never acceptable, that includes by governments.

You have a right to your own opinion.

One life should equal one life.

3 life's should equal 3 life's yet we can only send the ex-nurse to Death Once... we also have to think about how much suffering she will be in... is it humane enough? Too groosome?..... Not Unacceptable!

Well ok, too bad the killer did not have a list of considerations before doing the crime.

If you have family and kids and this happened to you then ok..... You Go Ahead and Give Them a Big Pass!

Won't make the World a better place. Why not just let them go??? Maybe they can change??? See your not progressive enough. Just set them free again and you go live next to them.

If you ever wanted an indicator of a nation's human rights standing, look to see whether they disregard the sanctity of human life or not by killing their own citizens.

In 2021, capital punishment by a so-called democratic nation is beyond shameful, it's a disgrace.

If she is proven guilty of the 3 murders which should be easily proved.

Then the death penalty is justifiable but only after she spends the majority of her pathetic loser life incarcerated

She's a monster

If she is a 'monster' for killing another, why is it okay for the state to do the same?
