Those victims were too mentally impaired to defend themselves and now he claims he's 'incompetent'? Let's see how his alibi is true by sentencing him to solitary. Let's see how he likes that.

A retrial, why not? Add 19 tortures before hanging.

How many years on death row before he's executed ?
Give him 32 years solitary confinement before execution.

Just accept your much-deserved punishment.

I just noticed a typo in my previous post which would explain the negativity.
Mental health issues should not be an excuse ‘to escape’ punishment.

Give him a retrial so he can receive life imprisonment with forced labor for the rest of his life.
Execution is not justice .
Its a get out life without accountability.
Well, I actually agree with the death penalty in principle, but unfortunately, I don't think that any conviction in Japan is safe, unless Japan drastically reforms it's legal system.

So many time death row inmates in Japan ended up being innocent.
Prosecutors hide evidences and force confessions routinely.
The real criminal its likely somewhere else.

Japans method of execution is the rope of death. Better than the old 1600,s method of the pit of death.

If I were the judge:
Defendant: please give me a retrial
judge: you want a retrial? Ok. Done. Guilty. If you want, I can give you less days after your execution if you like……….

Clearly this appeal is to gain some time before his death. He might have some loose ends to tie up financially or emotionally speaking, but I sincerely doubt any judge will change the death sentence considering it was such a heinous crime. He's just delaying the inevitable.

Mr Kipling
Please don't waste any more of our tax money on this loser. Long drop on a short rope ASAP.

It's too late.
Judging from the date, he may be fooling the public.
