This was a horrible murder. He stalked the two kids at night (caught on camera), abused and stabbed them. While I don't believe in the death penalty, I am disgusted that he tries to maintain his innocence. Most definitely this guy should not be allowed back into society.

I think that ship sailed when the judge said you're guilty.

In other words, Yamada is now claiming that he was forced to sign a confession or that he did so under duress. Yamada also *'denied intending to kill Natsumi Hirata'*, so in other words suffocating her to death was somehow a big mistake. That makes about as much sense as her classmate dying of a mysterious disease at the same time she suffocated to death in Yamada's presence. As with most criminals, they didn't do it when it's time to pay the bill, or serve the sentence.

Go to prison. Go directly to prison. Go to prison until you die or meet the hangman.

It's difficult to think why shouldn't he swing. If it helps bringing just a bit of peace of mind for the families left behind (difficult), then there are no good reasons for leaving such persons alive.
