Police in Kashiwazaki City, Niigata Prefecture, on Wednesday said they believe a decapitated body found in an apartment on Monday.
The body, which was inside a suitcase, had decayed to the extent that its gender could not be determined when found. However, an autopsy revealed Tuesday that the remains were those of a man and that the the head had been severed by a sharp instrument, Fuji TV reported. The head was not in the apartment, police said, adding the remains had been in the first-floor apartment for about six months.
According to police, they received a call from the manager of the two-story building at around 11:15 a.m. Monday, reporting that there had been no contact with the tenant for more than six months.
Neighbors said they had not neither seen nor heard anything out of the ordinary in the building.
The building is located about two kilometers from JR Kashiwazaki Station.

I stayed in a haunted apartment before in Japan, its dangerous; I got sick, and moved to another haunted place by mistake and got slightly injured-startled by a strange noise . Come to find out the fudosans have a list of what they call "stigmatized apartments" which they rent to jns at much reduced prices.

RIP. Hope they can track his movements and find the murderer. If it was some months ago most CCD recordings will be gone.

or either done with a chain saw?...any how this stuff is happening way too often latetly in Jland as I have mentioned in a previous article too many slashing, knifing and beheading do to violent anime cartoons that could be contributing factor.
