Aichi Prefectural Police have arrested a 48-year-old employee at the Defense Ministry’s Technology, and Logistics Agency in Gifu Prefecture on suspicion of violating the prefecture’s public nuisance ordinance by groping an 18-year-old girl on the street in Nagoya.

According to police, the incident occurred at around 10:10 p.m. on Saturday as the girl walked along a street in Nakamura Ward, Sankei Shimbun reported. A man noticed the incident and accompanied the girl to a police box to report the crime. Police said the girl and the suspect, Masaki Kogure, do not know each other.

A spokesperson for the Technology, and Logistics Agency said, “It is truly deplorable that an employee committed this crime. We will strictly deal with the matter.”

The Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics Agency was established in 2015 under the Ministry of Defense.

One second of cheap thrill. Learn to control yourself in jail.

I don't get what kind of thrill these guys get out of groping random women. Being sexually frustrated is one thing but why ruin your life and career for a few seconds of groping? Just watch porno or, better yet, fondle your wife or go on a normal date if your single.

So you're NOT gonna fire him. Ok.

Stop calling it a "public nuisance law". It's SEXUAL ASSAULT.

They better make an example of him - fire him and give him a proper jail sentence.

The guy has not been convicted, and this government agency is stating he committed a crime???

Potentially that agency committed criminal libel. The accused could also take civil action against his employer. If it turns out he is not charged, or found to have committed a crime.

Innocent unless proven guilty in Japan folks.

"Innocent unless proven guilty in Japan folks."

No; this is not the way it works in J-Pain...perhaps innocent in America, "folks" but certainly not here.

J-Pain: Non J, guilty until proven innocent, with harsh processing.
