Elderly man busted for arranging sex for senior citizens

Police in Japan have arrested a 70-year-old man over claims he arranged sexual encounters among senior citizens through newspaper adverts soliciting "tea-drinking companions", police and press reports said.

Kiyohide Kuroda had allegedly been posting classified ads in a Tokyo newspaper for around a decade before he was taken into custody last week.

Press reports said Kuroda had helped arrange sex among about 1,000 men and 350 women, mostly in their mid-60s, earning some 30 million yen as commission in breach of Japanese prostitution laws.

His small ads for his "San Ai" (Three Loves) club offered to arrange meetings for "tea-drinking companions aged between 40 and mature ages," the reports said.

The oldest male customer was 88 and the oldest woman was 82.

A spokesman for Tokyo Metropolitan Police said Kuroda's arrest on Oct 4 came after he separately introduced two women to two men who had asked him over the past month to find sexual partners.

"I recruited tea-drinking companions as I did not wish to give the impression that mine was sex business," Kuroda reportedly told investigators. "I thought people seeking prostitution understood what it meant."

Remember folks, inside our heads we are always young.

You would think the police would have more pressing issues.

This guy is a genius. He must get a mdal for his innovative way of solving a problem of Japanese society.

I want some of that tea they are drinking !!

2 ( +2 / -0 )

¥30,000,000 even nicer! ;8)

Hope they let him pay now, before Sho-hi-zei goes up!

1 ( +1 / -0 )

¥3,000,000 Nice. Better than most pensions.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

whats wrong exactly?

He didn't pay shorizei and yakuza shorizei on his commissions.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Yes, victimless crime.

If anything to be encouraged: seniors with a reason to go on living, with something to look forward to, with a spring in their step.

Why arrested? Whole story?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

The government ressources wasted for this ridulous arrest should have been used to find and prosecute stalkers.

If it moves in Japan then tax and regulate it is the mantra.....

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Wel atleast its not young teenagers. But, he is still sick

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

I don't see anything wrong to his business c'mon they Are old and just want to have fun ;)

2 ( +2 / -0 )

The society has been shy away from discussing senior sex and what to do with it.

You are absolutely right. It's here, to stay, and ignoring it won't make it go away. In fact, I think it may be even more marked in Japan because so many of that generation were pushed into loveless arranged marriages, and now they want to make up for lost time!

Through my horrified middle-aged students, I've heard stories about their elders' shenanigans that make me want to pour bleach into my brains. However, I always tell them that they have no right to judge older people for wanting love and affection, because one day they'll be in the same boat themselves.

except Income-Tax Department

so tax the hell out of him. He shouldn't have to do time though

1 ( +1 / -0 )

USNinjapan2, I would have to say that his screw up was not giving the government their cut. Otherwise he would not have been arrested.

@The Chronic

The elderly need some bootie too!

Much as I agree with you, the image is a bit disturbing.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Give the mana break, the elderly have needs too....

2 ( +2 / -0 )

So he's been busted for running a discreet service between consenting adults, that never bothered anybody, and in the same city where you can hardly walk down a busy street at night without been offered "massaji"... stupid.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

They should imprison this threat to humanity and throw away the key. No good deed goes unpunished.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

he broke the law because the last two customers were specifically looking for sex.

@rickyvee--You just described the last two male customers of about 10, 000 dating services. Regardless, just looking sex never stopped two people from turning into something more. This law and this arrest are preposterous.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

How the hell do the J-cops KNOW that he was arranging sexual meetings?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

That is so stupid! Why do they harrass the old guy? Give him a break. He was doing a service.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Let him go! Let him GO! Totally victimless crime that does no harm to anyone!

except Income-Tax Department !

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I wonder if he also sold Viagra on the side to improve customer service?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

seems to me this is way better (or less offensive) than someone arranging for seniorsn (or anyone) to have sex with underage girls....

0 ( +1 / -1 )

This guy was not smart enough and set it up the wrong way. If he had set it up as an introduction service or even an escort service he would have avoided the slow arm of the law. Ten years he was doing this before the flops caught up with him? Really?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Disgusting! The cops should be ashamed of themselves.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

The cops went after him because he cut into their Yakuza buddies' business

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Sometimes, the hypocrisy, stupidity and blindness of law and its enforcement apparatus just beggar belief.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

The elderly need some bootie too!

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Come on...let the good bloke go!! He was just helping out and keeping seniors healthy.

Everyone - It's party time ...Tea, anyone?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

While what he was doing is laudable, I guess, it seems he forgot to tell the taxman that he's making some money on it: "Press reports said Kuroda had helped arrange sex among about 1,000 men and 350 women, mostly in their mid-60s, earning some 30 million yen as commission in breach of Japanese prostitution laws."

And the cops just wanted a piece of the pie for themselves as well.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

The pimped out Daihatsu move gave him away? ;)

2 ( +2 / -0 )

just wonder why it should be illegal to provide someone an orgasm & get paid for the services ... ;)

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Even grand-dads and grand-mas need it! I wish the police would concentrate on more important things.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

he broke the law because the last two customers were specifically looking for sex. otherwise the "afternoon tea" meetings were just fine.

i hope he just gets a suspended sentence.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Someone in the police force jealous coz the oldies were getting more than he was ?

Old people can remain sexually active and were all consenting adults, I'm late 50s and cant see the problem so I'm gonna place an ad in Tokyo Classifieds "Tea Drinking Partners Wanted"

8 ( +8 / -0 )

I wonder who ratted the old guy out.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Not all that bad. Focus on the kiddie-porn, please. Bust the people that very, very clearly deal in enjou kousai and post pornographic images of children on websites.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Let him Go!! all clients were had a Happy Ending , as you can see , he was was taking money away from the Yaks , competition, go figure!

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Leave this kind! Raid those yakuza-related regular ranches! Where's your "Respect for the Aged"???

Seriously though, this is tantamount to denying that senior citizens also have the right to sexual pleasures. Unless they are extremely rich business or entertainment lords, who could find women (or men, for that matter) of all age ranges, they will have little choice. The society has been shy away from discussing senior sex and what to do with it. Until it has, just give it to them through ANY safe sources.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

@MIrai I agree completely with you. Completely victimless crime. I wish I could be that much of an entrepreneur.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Wish I'd known about his "service" before he got busted... ;-)

12 ( +12 / -0 )

the oldest woman was 82.

Don't even want to imagine. However, I'm glad that a women of this age still finds pleasure in having sex.

As for the guy that got busted? Please let him go. He's doing more good than bad.

12 ( +13 / -1 )

Let him go! Let him GO! Totally victimless crime that does no harm to anyone!

19 ( +19 / -0 )

So how did he violate the prostitution law? I don't see it. From what this article describes, he did exactly what matchmaking companies do, introduce two consenting adults for a fee after which they are free to do what they please.

18 ( +18 / -0 )

Alex Einz, 80 is the the new 30! As long as he doesn't use violence to keep his ladies in check.....it's cool.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

whats wrong exactly? everyone seems to be a consenting adult...or octogenarian

19 ( +20 / -1 )

This guy should get a Medal!-Older folks need a healthy dose of sex as well as companionship & Both have been proven as positive to overall health . Mr Kuroda has only acted as a Go-Between for these folks & whatever transpired afterward was between two consenting adults.

29 ( +29 / -0 )

Thanks JT for not supplying images.

8 ( +14 / -6 )

I say: Give him a break. I am for anything that keep the elderly out of crowded hospitals or the highway. If it is sex, even better!!! Go jiityan, go baatyan!!
