I've personally known people here who bought hashish--and then avoided them entirely. It's not worth being detained and/or deported for a few hours of enjoyment.

CEOs are not "street-wise" - he should have known better buying in Japan. Losing his position and being deported should be punishment enough. Next time he should look for work in a country with more enlightened drug laws (not the land of Matt Gaetz).
