Father arrested over death of 2-year-old stepdaughter

A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of killing his two-year-old stepdaughter by beating her about the head at their home in Osaka’s Higashiyodogawa Ward last year.

According to police, Takahiro Imanishi, an electrician currently residing in Osaka’s Neyagawa City, is accused of fatally beating his stepdaughter Noa last December at their apartment, Fuji TV reported. The child subsequently died of an acute subdural hematoma due to head injuries, doctor said.

At the time, Noa was living with her mother and Imanishi. Police said Noa’s mother was not at home when Imanishi beat the girl.

Noa was taken to hospital but never regained consciousness. After hospital officials alerted police to a case of possible abuse, Imanishi said Noa had been crying and he tried to stop her by rolling her on top of a futon.

However, doctors that the two-year-old appeared to have been strongly shaken and beaten about the head.

"Father" is a loose term for it.

Never in the history of raising a child has shaking and beating one, caused the child to want to stop crying!

This POS deserves solitary confinement for life!

I agree solitary for life with pictures and videos of the baby playing 24/7

Imanishi said Noa had been crying and he tried to stop her by rolling her on top of a futon.

I am perplexed with the level of incompetence that passes for parenting these days! "Rolling her on top of a futon" to make her stop crying? What book did he read on parenting? What a sad loss of life due to this muppet who thought he was fit to be a "step-father".

One would think that these kind of crimes happen only in Japan.. but not, when i look up at news from other coontries like france, belgium, ... same things happen... i mean it. Last week in france, a sister and her boyfriend beated to death the little brother (9 years old) because he didn't want to do his home-work ......

Meanwhile, i have 2 kids, my boy is 5 years old, and my girl is 14 months... she cry of course, yeah it can drive me nuts lol, but when babies cry, it's for a reason, and if u're smart enought... u can figure it out quick.

They call him her father; this is nonsense. He was not her father in any sense of the word, not by blood, nor legally, and certainly not through affection or love.

It took one year to sentence him but she was only 2 years old?
