The father of a 4-year-old boy who has been missing for the past three years has told police that he threw his son's body into the sea after he fell off the stairs and died, police said Wednesday.
Suguru Kajimoto, 35, and his wife Chiho, 32, were arrested earlier this week on fraud charges for illegally receiving childcare subsidies for their son Tatsuki, Fuji TV reported.
Suguru initially said after his arrest that he had thrown Tatsuki's body into the sea after he died but did not say anything about where in the sea or when the boy died. His wife has reportedly told police that her husband took Tatsuki's body away last Christmas and she had no idea what he did with it.
However, on Thursday, police said the couple have told them they are unable to say anything more about the case at the moment.
So far, the couple have only been charged with fraud for receiving 360,000 yen in childcare subsidies between April 2015 and February 2016.
According to local government records, Tatsuki was born in January 2012 and placed in an infant home. He was placed in his parents' custody in Matsubara in January 2014. The family then moved to Sakai. Kyodo reported that last summer, they postponed a medical checkup for Tatsuki on six occasions. Sakai municipal government officials went to the home but were told that Tatsuki was staying with relatives.

WTF

This makes me very sad (and angry). What a couple of monsters.

Subhuman scum, please drop these so-called parents, into the sea, preferably with concrete boots.

This makes me want to weep, thinking of what this poor child Tatsuki must have endured and suffered before being murdered - for murdered he surely was. This is a terrible story.

The parents committed fraud, lied to the authorities, didn't give their son a proper burial and treated his body with disrespect. But I don't see from the article that they actually killed him.
Surely what they're guilty of (so far) don't call for the death penalty (drop into the sea with concrete boots), do they?

Any sensible person would have called an ambulance, who dumps the body after an accident? Something clearly sinister happened. Disgusting 'parents'.

They may escape justice on earth, but when it's their turn to die the son will be waiting for them

Wow these parents used their son as if he was a money dispenser. Now their conscious will kill them. What kind of mother would let a father take away a son and not know what happened to the child she gave life too. This means she didn't care out of sight out of mind attitude she had.

Fell off the stairs my donkey!! If this kid died an accidental death, why didn't they report it? This POS killed this kid and then threw his body into the ocean like a piece of trash! I'm not usually in favor of the forced confessions by Japanese police, but in this case I'd make an exception. The Japanese police have my full consent to beat a confession out of this loser. Please email me if you need some help.

hope they both in jail for rest of their life or dead penalty to save tax payers money

Wow! This is horrible we have the same kind of monsters who live in my neck of the woods.
Here is one example.

Horrific news :(
sweet and sour
I have had a GRRRR moment, both of these absolute monsters should be terminated! Sorry en-terminated for life. Actually, I prefer the former but I am against the death penalty, let them rot in jail.

Here's a datapoint. My 3-year-old tumbled down a long flight of stairs (longer than usual as it was at top of a loft in a high-gabled ski cabin), on next to last step was straight upside down with head on step and on bottom landed flat like a belly flopper. But unharmed except for crying. Little kids are built to take falls like that, they are closer to the ground, and lighter.
Not saying it's impossible he died that way but it's more likely they did it and are lying. They got rid of his body and probably as much evidence as they could (maybe police could still find blood evidence).
They chose to get rid of the evidence, and should get the maximum penalty, same as you do at a parking garage if you lose the ticket.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was a false confession to be honest

Why, and why?
