Police in Tomioka, Gunma Prefecture, have arrested a 29-year-old firefighter who installed a small camera in the women’s toilet at his fire station.
According to police, the suspect, Ryuya Nakano, placed the miniature camera in the toilet at around 7:50 p.m. on Nov 2, Sankei Shimbun reported. However, early in the morning of Nov 3, a woman noticed the camera in the toilet and reported it to the station chief.
Station surveillance camera footage showed Nakano going into the women’s toilet.
Police said Nakano has admitted to the charge and said he installed the camera because he got a thrill out of voyeurism.

Watching someone take a dump is not voyeurism. It's something entirely different and much more demented. This kind of thing (including up-skirt filming) happens far too often in Japan and the Japanese authorities need to get tough on penalties for these deviates and get them out of the society.

The bigger picture is that, we the public have trust and faith in the emergency services, (and others professions to) to help us and to protect us, but when you get one rotten apple in a barrel we loose trust in the emergency services, and it does not do there image any good.
