A customary “RIP” & “Condolences” are extended to ‘innocent’ family. However,…

…while Diack’s body may be quickly interred, the stench of his, his son’s and the IOC’s ‘alleged’ corruption & greed continues to linger:

“An ongoing French investigation has linked Papa Massata Diack to financial wrongdoing connected to Tokyo's winning bid to host the 2020 Olympics.” -

This is a ‘current’ Crime” story that mentions an ‘ongoing’ investigation:

“An ongoing French investigation has linked Papa Massata Diack to financial wrongdoing connected to Tokyo's winning bid to host the 2020 Olympics.”

… so, those who broke laws, *here in Japan***** *and abroad, will be ‘brought to justice’.

*****Well, at least, get their names & faces in the paper. They’ll never ‘do time’, especially abroad.

As mentioned earlier @5:36pm, his ‘innocent’ family, IF their are any, will continue to benefit:

“With the death of Lamine Diack, Senegal loses one of its most illustrious sons,” the west African country's President Macky Sall said via Twitter.

Makes you wonder what the less illustrious sons are like. Until you realise the person saying also got elected with a little help from Lamine Diack.

Basically, the stench of corruption coming from the IOC and the "Olympic movement" in general means that he was just one that got caught with his fingers in too many pies. Most of those doing the same get away with it, so you could say he's the fall guy.

Corruption is endemic in African and many other developing countries.

With Herr Bach at this Olympics, the Trump Administration and all his associated businesses and Panama and Pandora Paper revelations of tax evasion, who could have gotten the idea that corruption is the royal road to wealth and profit?

Corrupt to the core, and the Apple didn’t fall far from the tree is son is just as corrupt. I don’t see anything good about this article accept for the announcement of a corrupt soul life ending finally his family can celebrate with all his illegal earnings while those who paid remember.

are you trying to say japan is a developing country? Or you forget that the head of Japan's bid team was caught funneling funds to Singapore? Or that the story involves Japan paying bribes?

They were caught red handed,....but NOTHING was done, big surprise....NOT!!

The olympics are rotten to the core
