Look, if a person of their own age touched them in the same way you probably would not be so disgusted. But if a person of the same age coerced them you should be upset. Everyone should. Age is not the real problem and neither is sexual contact. Sexual contact is not always abuse, and its not measured by age. Coercion IS always abuse. Therefore, my chief problem is coercion if it occurred. This logic is not that complicated, and according to decent psychological research, its totally sound.

No. coersion, consent it doesn't matter of course. This is just a simple case. Some men, not many, but some in Japan or elsewhere have done disgusting things like this and need to be stopped. whether they need to be shot, or imprisoned, or counseled I don't know. But people don't expect their daughters or sons to be in anyway abused sexually by people who are in a position of trust.

At 71, and with two misdemeanours under his belt (no pun intended) since July, I think it is a pretty safe bet to say these are just the ones he got caught over.

Its truly sick and dangerous, morbid and scarry all in one. But schools and teachers have always been known to draw this type of deminted people to the trade. Maybe they start out normal and gradually get overcome various factors in their lives (obviously) and take it out on the nearest and seemingly easiest target. There should be stronger patrols in force, but when even the teachers salaries themselves are cut to the bone, who can think about hiring a force to safeguard the children. Its got to fall on the parents to talk to their kids, stay current with such "news" and tendencies, and work with their children to be aware of potentially dangerous scenerios so the child, as young and trusting and full of life as they are, will at least feel brave to try and thwart a dimented adult from crossing obvious lines of conduct. Alohajapan, I wish that were the case. In my junior high we had several male teachers who had been put on "mandatory leave" for inappropriate behavior with girls, and they were inevitably given their job back after a year. One guy lasted a year and a half before doing it again, but they didn't fire him. They just didn't let him teach anymore. (He was my teacher, and he was pretty creepy.)
