Why do so many men just come up to a random girl and cut their face?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

This is bizarre. It seems like the only motive was to injure the girl. What's the deal?

Shoganai! It's the safety country desho!

I hope he is caught and daddy gets to slash more than his cheek. We can only hope for every body part for starters for these types of idiots who get off doing this type of stupid thing.

It's a good thing the population is shrinking. That means fewer of these lunatics on the streets.

Have any of you noticed that such attacks are on the increase? If Japanese society doesn't do something soon, the war between the sexes is going to get serious.

In Gunma, the women are proud of being feared by men. Is there a price to be paid for being hateful enough to be feared? Is it possible that Japanese men will end up being stronger (physically) than their counterparts?

Why do so many men just come up to a random girl and cut their face?

Because it takes a man with no strength or courage to prey on those who are "weaker". Men in Japan are getting weaker both mentally and physically and we'll see incidents like these increase.

find the creep and a cheek for a cheek.

How do we know these crimes are on the increase? Leaving aside the major factors of under-reported crimes and the Japanese media's shunning of petty crime reports which aren't sensational or don't involve celebs or foreigners, the appearance of an incident report on an English-language website in Japan that's just trying to get more hits like any other commercial website has no proportionate relationship whatsoever to the actual occurrence rate of the incident.

Message to girls. If some guy demands that you stop, don't. Get on a sidewalk or side road and escape. The bike can go places the car cannot.

I wonder what she did to cause him to chase her?

I wonder if anyone bothered to get his licence plate?

I wonder what she did to cause him to chase her?

Why would you think she did anything? Most likely just some nutjob who wanted to scar a girl.

Nothing at all, just everyone seems to jump on the "Japan is full of nutters" band wagon.

I was just offering up another possibility, like she rode on the road with out looking and it ticked this guy off, then she swore and kept riding, so he is giving her an extreme lesson in manners.

I saw a girl once ride past a car and her handle bars clipped and scratched a cars mirror, and she just kept on riding. The owner of the car had to chase the girl in her car and scream at her till she gave up all her personal info. This article could have been a similar scenario. Dont you think?

I wonder why he is using a knife instead of a gun.Maybe he wants to cut or slash anybody when he goes wild and temperate.

Um...just wondering...car description and plate might be better to look for than a tan hat.

@maxpower.. i cannot believe that you are actually trying to think of reasons why the slasher might have been 'giving her an extreme lesson in manners'. the JT article gives us very little information about if the 2 people involved knew each other or not, if there was anything that the girl on her bicycle did that the man in his car felt was provocation - but honestly sir, even if that girl HAD bumped his car with her cyclo, if she had said something that the man took offense at, if she had kicked his tire, or peed on his hubcap, or ran over his pet, there was NOTHING that she did that would justify a grown man attacking a teenage girl with a knife.

I guess the girl's lucky he didn't stab her in the eye. What the heck is wrong with some people?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

There's a little difference between this JT article and Japanese news articles I've read. The guy (by the way, he has already been arrested) got off his car and yelled at the high school girl to get off the bike AND THEN GET ON HIS CAR. His purpose was to take away the girl (don't really have to wonder what his intention was). The girl screamed for help to a passer-by and the guy slashed her face with a knife and drove away. Some people saw his car and reported to the police and the guy was arrested on the next day (today). Thank goodness he was caught.

Glad the guy was caught. Poor girl's gonna have a scar on her face now.

@Disillusioned and Kyokosamile: Yeah, right, Japan is SUCH a dangerous place to be... (eyes rolling)

I don't know how you make a punishment difficult enough that this type of sicko become an example and a deterrent to others. Perhaps the stocks and public floggings for some of the more henious crimes would be better in the long run. Might seem barbaric but what he proposed to do with this poor girl is even more so.

I'm glad the girl got away. Too bad she was hurt at all.

to marialenit i think its just the fact that knifes are easier to come by considering you can just get them out of the homewear bit of a department store or just out their own kitchen

Great news. Japan has maybe around 127 mio people and the headline is a girl who falls from the bicycle.

Anyway, my best wishes to the girl.

men look good with scars but not women...what a terrible thing to do to a girl =(

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Safety Japan. Guy screams at a girl, stops his car, gets out, goes over and cuts her on the face (while she screams for help), and gets back into his car and drives off while everybody stands around watching and sucking teeth...

In any other country this guy would have been pummeled on the spot...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

@Tahoochi, What's wrong with that response? Japan is INDEED the most SAFETY country in the whole wide world, right?...only foreigners commit crimes, ok? (ROFLMFAO!)

Kyokosmile: good one
