figures. Japanese online security is comparable with a vault door at the bank made of paper.

There's online security in Japan? I wouldnt believe it unless I'd seen it written here. I guess Sony didn't learn their lesson from before , also the fact that it's 3rd party probably makes it worse.

Does it influence Sony clients in other countries? Everything I have is by Sony - my laptop, PSP, Sony Cybershot and Sony Xperia S. I love love love its gadgets and its quality but just what the hell is going on with its security??? I'm never gonna enter my credit card number anywhere within the limits of Sony network.

I love Sony too! I hope they do get their security issues under control ASAP!

Everyone is "connected" on the internet. To say the group was loosly connected to Anonymous means nothing! We are all "loosely connected" thanks to the internet!

No pity for Sony, who buys up everything and overprices everything like Disney, and just had to dictate the future of hi def DVD, but why attack the users and post their info online?

As ever, glad I only ever gave Sony info for a one use account and no CC info.

There's online security in Japan?

Short answer no.

If it is that easy to hack into Sony, then Sony should replace its top cyber security people. I mean, twice in 18 months is no joke and shouldn't be taken lightly. How can anyone trust such a company?

Where is there good online security right now.

FBI, US and other Goverments agencies, Major corpoations, Banks all been hacked worldwide over the last 2 yrs.

Atleast they didn't target Sony in Britain again, like they did the last time(secured by a british contractor).

The group so far has proven themselves to hack into any system they want to. Sure the JT-Experts could keep them out.

Must be a deliberate attack against Sony being a Japanese company. It's either that the hackers are sympathetic to Sony's rival or bitter at them for being Sony. That they targeted Chinese and Taiwanese server accounts will narrow it down. There is a trace to everything.

I have always purchased my psn cards at maximuscards.com and I am ecstatic that I never put my card online there...

Just saying, but I believe bill gates is behing these Sony attacks

If companies like this had our new encryption software there would be no way that this information could be retrieved by hackers because the software places the confidential information behind a curtain that is not on the servers. Apple just got in trouble for losing access to the device IDs as reported by JT yesterday.

Apple didn't lose anything, they would have given that info to the FBI on request.

If Sony is crap, then why do American kids know the Sony name better than Mickey Mouse??

It will never happen... after all, all their local hires here are Todai Graduates, that were given jobs before entering their 3rd year of school. And Japan does fire, they just say, "Don't do that again... Bad Kenji!"

Insider trading isn't even a crime, and it's legal to be a member of organized crime... Come on now... what do you expect...?

And Japan does fire

Correction "doesn't fire"
