A man robbed an am/pm convenience store in Hiratsuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, early Monday morning, getting away with 200,000 yen, police said. Police said the man entered the store about 3 a.m. and went to the toilet. He then came out and told the 66-year-old sales clerk that the toilet was broken. When the clerk went to check on the toilet, the man pulled a 10-cm-long knife and told him not to resist and demanded he empty the two cash registers.
Police said the thief was in his 20s, about 160-170 cms tall and was wearing a black sweater and black pants.© Japan Today
