Most of the Japanese companies do not have any job description (at least mine and a big one). Salarymen can be moved within a few weeks to any different jobs or/and locations without consulting.
Then of course "trainees" hiring companies abuse of this system for cheap labor while believing they are great employeurs developing third class people.

Therefore, ANYTHING IS O.K as long as it is in the name of business ???.Japanese style. Then , they have seen nothing yet. They can tramp on anybody ???.

There are soon to be many more similar headlines as these after April this year....

@vinarius - Hitachi is a blue-chip Japanese company, they are part of the old Japanese establishment. They contribute to the economy, industry and the LDP. Basically untouchable.

Why aren't any of these people arrested ????.
Ascissor
NB. The president of Hitachi is also chair of the Keidanren.

Name and shame all the companies, put the exec's in jail.... oh wait...
Scrote
As Hitachi's illegal activities result in no punishment whatsoever I can only assume that "improvement order" means Hitachi should do a better job of covering up their law breaking in future.

Oooooh. An "advisory for improvement". That'll fix it!
Disillusioned
Forced labor and slavery is still alive and well in Japan. These trainees should be paid higher salaries than the locals because they are the ones doing Japan a favor. They exploit these trainees knowing full well they do not have the resources, money or knowledge to do anything about it. Realistically, this is another breech of human rights in Japan that should be reported to the UN.

Guess some people will bow in front of the tv again.

They could go to the General Union, and the Labor Relations Board to seek redress as well. Hiring a lawyer costs cash, and these people should not have to "pay" anything to get the money they deserve!
One other thing, expect a hell of a lot more stories like this in the coming future as Abe has loosened the requirements for work visas here and more foreign workers are going to be coming into Japan.

Check any Japanese English dictionary the word trainee translates into slave labor

An improvement order . . . Oh, no. These trainees need to band together and hire a lawyer so they can recover their wages and can't other damaged the lawyer can dream up and make stick.
Punitive damaged really need to be implemented in this country so corporations come to realize they are responsible for their actions.
Yubaru
And why aren't the heads of these corporations being arrested and charged for their companies crimes here? They should be at least detained until the facts come out!
Oh right, they are Japanese.

wow big surprise (not)
