Human body parts including a head and a leg were found in a park pond in Tokyo on Thursday.
According to police, a visitor to the park noticed a body part floating in the pond at Himonya Park in Meguro Ward at around 10:30 a.m., Fuji TV reported. He notified police at a nearby koban.
Police said they found a right foot, a head, torso and hands. Officials said the body parts had become almost skeletonized and that the age and sex of the victim were difficult to determine. They also could not determine how long the body parts had been in the pond which is about one meter deep.
The park is in a residential area about 400 meters from Gakugei Daigaku station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line. Visitors can rent boats to row on the pond in the park, which also has baseball field and a gymnasium.

Probably an old someone is still collecting pension from.

1 meter deep clearly not a drowning with almost skeletal remains.

Usually these don't separate, so the body was cut up.
@James Bradshaw is probably correct.
Most likely other parts are elsewhere, never to be found...

There's a nice water fountain in the center of the pond, and you can ride a row boat with a special someone. But it might be a little difficult to enjoy the scenery after this disturbing news.

Sounds like a mob job, although I wonder why the parts suddenly started floating. Did they use an organic bag to put them in or something?

Time to check those missing persons reports the local police have filed and done nothing about. Makes perfecty sense, relates to the story by noting that the police should check through missing persons reports.

I'm pretty sure that's Bob.

Sounds like a serial killer ?

Oh well we do know several things the person found was not shot, and more than likely the person was butchered up by knife! Death is death gun or a knife, murder is murder regardless of how its done. The bottom line is a crime was committed!!

Natsuo Kirino's bestselling novel, "Out," was inspired by the body found in Inokashira Park. (The case still hasn't been closed I think.) Wonder if she'll do a sequel based on this one.
