Police in Hiroshima say Li Guolin, the Chinese prisoner who escaped from a Hiroshima prison wearing only his underwear on Jan 11, made 40 international telephone calls during his 54 hours on the loose before he was recaptured on Jan 13.

According to investigators, Li, 40, broke into a home and an office to steal food and clothes. He made the international telephone calls from both locations, TV Asahi reported. NTT said most of the calls were made to the same number in China.

Li was serving a 23-year-sentence for the attempted murder of a police officer and for his part in a string of burglaries.

Makes me wonder ... did he really "surrender" because he was tired and hungry, or was it "mission accomplished"?

I been thinking how many more calls could he make if he wears no underwear.

What color was his underwear? ....exactly, just as pointless as everything else
