Bangladesh is a failed state. In my opinion the web of causality for its failure is too complex to simplify to a single cause, but once again - like MENA states - you see it's a state which was partly shaped by a European empire (Great Britain in this case), partly shaped by partition post-WW2, and then further shaped by a war to separate from what is now Pakistan. It's been led by corrupt families who have kept the country under their powerful thumbs since.

Shame on Bangladesh. Japan has contributed billions of Yen in development aid and sent thousands of experts on everything from water purification to high-yield agriculture to help the Bangladeshi people over the past few decades.

"Well before", eh? How many? When? Two were kidnapped, yes, and then ONLY beheaded after Abe's declaration of war on IS. Now this has occurred BECAUSE of said war, and IS specifically says "against the crusader countries". So please stop suggesting this is a mere 'coincidence' in a sad attempt to deflect the fact that it is instead a result of Abe's policies. And now Bangladesh has been dragged into it. Since they have, though, here's hoping that they can crack down on the group, given they are operating directly on their soil and hurting their interests.
