Shocking. Japan seems to lead the world in being a cyber victim. Maybe best to stick to pencil/paper.

Does Japan have the worst cybersecurity of any developed country, or does Japan have the worst cybersecurity of any developed country?

Japan isn’t really any better or worse than anywhere else to be honest. As with most countries, social engineering is where Japan gets hit hardest. Doesn’t matter how good your digital security is if you have employees who fall for phishing attempts.

Japan has no enemies? Really, try telling then why is China, SK, and Russia claiming lands and waterways, constantly encroaching almost daily when it doesn't belong to them.

Why should we care? We don’t have any enemies. Just America is the most hated country on this planet and occupies 3.5% of our land for military purposes which taxpayers pay for.

The Defense ministry has had many security breaches in the past so this is not surprising. It's really idiotic that these people have been entrusted to defend Japan.

That's so funny, bet the manuals for working the security system are expansive requiring hours of study, a test. All for naught. But they passed the test. And that's important.

NTT have no idea about security... I remember once I went to their secure server room and they left me alone with 1000 other machines all unlocked...
