Chinese fishermen reportedly were violators not only in Japan's exclusive economic zone but also with other southeast asian countries.

There is no protest, no argument and resolved in such a short time.

It's funny how much different compare to the ones occurred at disputed islands. I believe negotiation is possible and best for both countries but sadly looking at the situation, it's not going to be same as this one.

"depleted stocks at home ( in Chinese waters )"

Whose fault is that?

This time Capt of ship was honest and decent person even though he was illegal fishing in Japanese water. Usually Chinese illegal Fishing Ship's Captain will deny and attacking on Japanese officers. I asked my Chinese friend about Communist China claimed on East and South China sea for Chinese territory. He told me Chinese fisherman need catch fishes in that water. Their fisherman can no longer catch fishes in those territories like before they did. That's one of reasons Communist Chinese Government aggressively claimed as it own territory in East and South China Sea.

In most states in the USA if you are caught fishing or hunting illegally your boat, truck, and all equipment can be confiscated if the judge so desires. Wouldn't it be nice if Japan could confiscate/requisition these invading vessels to build up their own surveillance fleet? And leave the name, "Nanjing" on the destroyer while the Red Sun flag is being proudly hoisted above.

What is coral fishing? Fishing among the corals, or taking coral (against the Washington Convention)?

According to some news sources which I have seen, they had a kilo and a half of coral on board which can sell on the black market in China for 500,000 to 600,000 JPY a kilo.
