They haven’t done it it already?

The Chinese communist party is desperate to get any troops out of anywhere. As is the US military. And the Russian military. And the Indian army.

It's what militaries do, hope and scheme for the enemy military or perceived enemy military to go away.

That may mean the bases have the right to shoot it down.

AND there were problems in the past with natives pointing lasers at US military aircraft flying in proximity of the bases before.

This is Japan and not USA.

Hmm interesting, its been illegal to fly any drones on US bases due to safety of flight, actually it has applied to all the bases around the world since drones have been sold commercially. What I do see is a way to hold the military otaku from flying them near the bases.

I agree, Drone should have NO business flying around any military bases.

News can be gathered on the ground No Problem.

It makes you wonder if the US military have a rule for their own personnel in this issue.

A better choice is to remove the US military bases from Japan completely, especially Okinawa

Definitely shocked that this hasn't already been in place for all JSDF and USFJ bases.

It's perfectly acceptable to spy on the spies.

Agreed, remove the bases completely and in the meantime, keep tabs on them.

Not that I like drones, and in all seriousness, there is the danger of collisions.
