Correct understanding? I'm quite sure the world understands the Japanese hostage justice system quite well. A person accused of a crime is stripped of all civil liberties and held in solitary confinement to be interrogated daily without a lawyer present. They are threatened with lengthy prison terms unless they confess, regardless of the truth behind any accusations. They are cut off from the outside world and only allowed limited visits from their lawyer to convey any news. Their incarceration can be extended at any time with trumped up accusations by prosecuting lawyers without any evidence or police involvement. Correct me if I am wrong.

Losing face and saying u are sorry for the nissan boo boo is minimum standard human behavior, laws or no laws. understand ???. How can U represent any serious issues ???. stop kidding around, we are japan is completely over. Wake up.

Ghosn should be a very worried person by the visit of vice justice minister of Japan.

Governments DO make deals, deals that are too good that an individual can be sacrificed.

Lebanon doesn't have a ban on visitors from Japan due to coronavirus, yet, so Mr Yoshiie should be met with open arms.

Lebanon does not live on aid. The average people work hard and pay it all for fat cats that reap all benefits as they own everything (bough with money or less dirty) and escape taxes as they have trusted all positions of power for decades. People are now revolting against that. The Government could benefit -maybe save their jobs- by no longer helping Ghosn escape trials (in Japan and elsewhere) and keep the wealth he's looted.
