And just what are they going to do? Twiddle their fingers "waiting" for some poor girl to call them up?
Get off your damn arses and go after the arseholes who are preying on these young women!

Pornographic specialists?? Do they really need to "deploy" them. Seems to me by the many stories I read about the police, that many are specialists already.
How are they going to do that unless they have someone undercover on the inside. They don't force them into porn in the first contact on the street, but days/weeks later after they sign the contract.

The wording should be "women and girls".
Andrew Crisp
In an Industry where most of the "actresses" are willing volunteers I can see the Adult Video Companies keeping records of all the applicants to cover themselves in case of any accusations

theres that word again, 'urge'. How about, strive, utmost efforts or, let's keep it simple, will do! This JK business is nothing short of rape and, in many cases, it's rape of a minor and the penalties should fit the crime.

Andrew Crisp: Since quite a bit of this stuff is distributed worldwide, I have to think the "legit' Japanese studios would keep records of proof of age. Otherwise, an exec could step off a plane in a foreign country and conceivably face charges.

I agree that undercover female police is the best approach.
I also wonder why it isn't used to stop gropers on the trains.

Reminds me of South Park's "Butters' bottom bitch' episode. Now that was some 'extreme dedication' to his undercover assignment!

As usual perception more important than reality, ie. govt will pretend to do something while doing next to nothing.
It should be EASY to investigate JK businesses & shut them down & jail offenders but we pretty much NEVER hear of this.
As for porn the easiest thing would be for the keystones to stop by the nearest video place & rent all the RAPE video's some of this stuff is brutally violent, the info on the video case would point where they need to go & lay charges, make arrests, SIMPLE.
Will any of the above actually happen, not likely, come on Japan prove me wrong PLEASE!!

My guess is very, very little is going to change.

Yeah, and how many times have we heard this now?
More lip-service laws.

@Kohaku I saw a cosplay decoy at Kyoto station. When I man took an up skirt, suddenly undercover police chased him in and out of carriages and out of sight. Hope they fought him.

How do they force these girls. Money or danger. It seems like these girls are forced for money and japan is not taking actions out of it. Urge!? Wtf is that, you need to strive and punish and crash these damn porn industries.
BertieWooster
I like the way they warn the people concerned before taking action. Reminds me of a drug raid on a friend's apartment many, many years ago. The police knocked on the door and informed my friend that it was a drug raid. While they were taking their shoes off at the genkan, someone was in the bathroom, on flush detail.

I don't know if this is a move in the right direction. In my opinion, one thing that could be done is to educate people not to let be taken into these traps. Set up a line where women (or men) feeling trapped can call or get in contact and ask for help. Then advertise it with commercials on tv and posters around so they know the help is there, and so that the general population are more aware of what's going on. Let the victims know that these contracts are not a real thing. And actually make these contracts illegal coz if they don't, then it's all going to be more lip-service.

Pardon me if I'm wrong in my following post. Having married in Japan and I now live in Kobe I wonder how the govt can achieve its plan. After so many years of interaction with the locals, especially the top management, a question which I always asked. "What are the top 3 most important things to a Japanese" in priority.
The answers I always get are:
1) drinking happily with friends or acquittance.
2) women, they always boast about their latest figures...
3) their country, Japan.
I'm just wondering if it's Japanese's culture than how are they going to change the situation through tightening the adults movie industry. Think Japan is rated no. 1 in adult movies as compared to elsewhere. Whereas Thailand is rated as no. 1 sex city.
Swift_Justice
@Kohaku:
They do use undercover officers to knick gropers. However, the sheer volume of trains and passengers means this approach isn't the most effective. This is not to say it should be stopped.

" Think Japan is rated no. 1 in adult movies as compared to elsewhere. "
I wonder how this could possibly be true.
Separately, I think people are coerced into doing all kinds of things in Japan. It is especially bad for women and it really should stop. It won't.
I will make the bold statement that Japan has enough coercion to make up for its relative lack of violence. I don't know a lot of people in Japan living what I would call a "free" lifestyle. Maintaining one's independence and freedom from all kinds of foolish influences is a full time job in Japan. Money, education, ability, and family all help, but for a young woman alone, she is going to be "coerced" one way or another, and I am not sure how that is going to be stopped. I am SURE it can be improved, but probably never stopped.

They should thrown in jail for the rest of their lives for preying on young girls. Even if the girls are of age, they still should be punished because it promotes and unhealthy desire to get with high school girls. They are a pathetic excuse for the male gender.
