Good on her. Let's see how this creep feels about being sexually assaulted in prison

This is her second trip back to put this garbage behind bars. Great job Koyuki!

Well done Miss Nakahara. You are an inspiration to sexual assault victims everywhere.

He probably targeted her thinking that a Japanese woman would be an easy target, and unlikely to come back at him in court. He sure got that wrong. I wonder how many others he has attacked.

This is still going on? I hope the jury puts him behind bars pronto!

Well done on her traveling back and taking this to its conclusion to make sure he doesn't assault other women

Innocent until proven guilty folks.

I applaud her for returning to testify, but I would have never gone walking alone in a foreign country at midnight.

The NY side of the Falls is a dump. The Canadian side is like an oasis compared to the US side.

This guy is a serious nutter.

He needs to be in the loony bin. He will attack again.

If, he is guilty...then he deserves the death penalty. Rape is a violation of the sanctity of a woman, that it is common is because the U.S. government has failed in its rightful duty to punish criminals.

Question I always have about Japanese tourists is why does it seem that they get themselves into really bad situations overseas, is it naivety?

Because they are extremely polite, non-confrontational and it makes them easy targets.

In Japan thousands of women are assaulted, groped and raped monthly so why is this news, maybe because she was not raped and she felt brave enough to say i'm not going to take this bs.

If white American women were regularly assaulted/raped by Japanese men you would bet it would be news to.

Yes, IF he is guilty. But until that's proven, he's to be presumed innocent.

If he's guilty, then yes, lock him up. But let's remember that "innocent until proven guilty" even applies to men who've been accused of sexual crimes.

There have been men falsely accused of such crimes, you know. Quite a few, in fact.

For those that thumbed me down....I took this from today's headlines:

:A man with a violent past who was released from jail Friday after his acquittal on rape charges is back in custody as the chief suspect in the city’s first murder of the year over the weekend. Ross McWay, 37, was arrested just after 4 p.m. Wednesday. He was the live-in boyfriend of 39-year-old Wendy Jeffers, whose body was found inside her home at 1112 N. Main St. on Sunday, Lima Police Department officials reported. McWay, who previously killed a man in 2001 and served 13 years in prison for that, was acquitted by a jury Jan. 6 of two counts of rape. :

As long as the State (government) neglects its rightful duty to punish criminals justly, then citizens must be able to defend themselves.
