Police said Monday that a 29-year-old man has been arrested for breaking into a female college student's apartment and sexually assaulting her in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture.
According to police, Akihiro Nakamura, a company employee, broke into the 1st floor apartment of the 20-year-old university student in October and allegedly sexually assaulted her, Fuji TV reported. He then stole 2,500 yen from her wallet and fled, police said.
Fuji quoted police as saying they identified Nakamura from surveillance camera footage of him getting into his car near the apartment.
Nakamura has denied all charges related to the university student, saying he doesn't remember anything about that night. Police said they are questioning him about five other similar crimes.

I trained karate for ten years with a tough Japanese fireman who I had the greatest respect for until he was arrested at age 29 for nine cases of break and enter, assault and rape. He got 18 years. I feel sorry for his victims and sad he wasted his life.

A servere lashing on his bottom until he can no longer sit for a month just might jar his memory back to him.

2,500yen??? not worth the effort at all big boy!

@Mariam i think that was just a bonus, i think he was there for the pecker attack, I advice some Electric Shock therapy to jolt his memory.

18 years? I'm guessing he wasn't sentenced in a Japanese court which more often then not view rape as something you really shouldn't do, rather than a serious crime.

Maybe a good old fashioned beating can help this scum pervert rapist refreshen his memory?? Bastard!!

A lot of assumptions here. A person got into a nearby car, and he's deemed guilty? I hope there's much better evidence than just that.

In the age of DNA, there should be ways to tie the crimes to the attacker. Once he's identified the process shouldn't take long. That's assuming the victims went in and the police preserved the evidence.

Simon...he was sentenced in Chiba district court, and he was lucky to only get 18 years as he cooperated totally from his arrest. The previous year, a similar rapist fireman in Sapporo got 30 years.
