WOW the safety measures are akin to the fox guarding the hen house. If one or more of the Daycare aged seniors are taking care of daycare aged children, this is bound to happen again. You have elderly people taking care of kids where you have both of them at times look for assistance. Young kids forget and so will the elderly. I think the best safety device would be one that doesn't allow them to close the doors until they have searched the bus from front to end where they will have to hit a switch at the back of the bus verifying there are no children on the bus once they have done a thorough check they hit another switch to verify that the sweep has been made which then send a signal to allow doors to close.
