A man robbed a sushi restaurant in Tokyo's Adachi Ward on Sunday morning, getting away with 720,000 yen, police said. According to investigators, the man broke in through the back door of the Choshimaru conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Yanaka at around 6:30 a.m. The deputy restaurant manager, 26, was the only employee on duty at the time and had just arrived.
Police said the intruder brandished a knife and ordered the deputy manager to open the safe and give him the money. He then fled with about 720,000 yen. The robber was described as being of Asian appearance, about 30, 160-170 cms tall and spoke broken Japanese.
