A 43-year-old man was arrested under anti-stalking laws on Tuesday after he allegedly called a woman about 50 times in one week asking her to meet him, police said.
Yukihiro Matsumoto, an employee at Kobe City’s Environment Bureau, was in an extramarital relationship with the 35-year-old woman for about 10 years until April 2007, when the woman ended the relationship. The woman decided to consult police last month, after Matsumoto continued to show up at her home and workplace.
Matsumoto is accused of calling her cell phone 47 times between Oct 20 and Oct 27, as well as emailing her, asking her to meet him again and saying he wanted to hear from her.
Matsumoto has admitted to the allegations and told police that he still liked her.© Wire reports
