Akimoto received a paper bag containing 3 million yen in cash in a parliament members' office building and said, "Thank you for everything," when he later met the firm's officials, according to the prosecutors
And he pleads not guilty? I bet my empty paper bag there are millions of paper bags in the rubbish everyday from government offices.

Related to this, down in sunny Okinawa, Shimoji also accepted 1 million yen from a Chinese gambling firm and failed to declare it. He initially vehmently denied it, but after Nakazato, the guy from 500.com, the Chinese gambling firm, admitted distributing the money, Shimoji finally admitted he took the money. So here's this obese, orange politician lying to the public after accepting bribes who is now back on the campaign circuit touting all his accomplishments (many of which should be fact checked). Beware of disgraced politicians trying to make a come-back. There are a lot of them out there...

He has received a paper bag and thanked for everything, implying he knew about the contents.
Then why did he thanked for everything?
But he will be back. Now it's time to get off the public grid, enjoy his hard earned money and appear later in a senior position or as a guide, etc. He'll pull the "I didn't know it was illegal" card and will be fine. I'm sure, knowing our justice system.

Good! Now let the trial begin!
Wanna hear what the witnesses have to say.
I'm super curious.

"I can clearly say I am not guilty on all the charges I am facing," Akimoto said in court.""
How FUNNY, how about rewording this to ( I can vaguely say I am guilty on all charges I am facing)!!! since a verdict has not been reached yet.
