Kanagawa prefectural police said Friday they have arrested an unemployed 42-year-old man on assault charges for allegedly attacked a 10-year-old elementary school boy and two others as they were playing in Yokosuka City in February of this year.
According to police, Takuya Watanabe was dressed as a woman when he assaulted the boys at around 4:40 p.m. on Feb 12, TBS reported. Police said that Watanabe kicked the children in the head and other parts of their body.
The 10-year-old boy posted a description of his aggressor on a community bulletin board following the attack. The school boy recalled that Watanabe had long well-kept hair and had been dressed in women's clothing during the time of the incident.
Police said Watanabe has denied all charges. He was quoted by police as saying, "I recall hearing about the incident, but I'm telling you, that wasn't me."© Japan Today
