Patient arrested for attacking woman with knife at clinic

A 45-year-old male patient at a clinic in Kadoma, Osaka, has been arrested on suspicion of attacking a woman working at the reception desk with a knife.

According to police, the man attacked the 58-year-old woman at the ENT (ear, nose and throat) Kuriyama Clinic at around 5 p.m. Thursday, cutting her face and neck, Fuji TV reported. The woman is in a stable condition, police said.

Police later found a knife covered in blood in the suspect's hospital room and said the man's speech has been manic and incomprehensible.
