Hyogo prefectural police have arrested three male demolition workers, all in their 20s, and three women aged 17-19, on charges of abduction, confinement and infliction of bodily injury after they abducted and assaulted a 22-year-old man, and then held him captive in his car.

According to Ako police department officials, the three men confessed to their crimes while in police custody, Sports Nippon reported Saturday. The three young women, however, have denied their involvement. Police confirmed that the six individuals were all acquaintances.

Police said the incident occurred late at night on April 28. The group attacked the 22-year-old man in the parking lot of a convenience store in Ako city. The group of assailants broke into the man's vehicle and shoved him inside, and then proceeded to drive off. While the car was in motion, the victim managed to fling himself through the window, after which he ran to a nearby home and sought help.

Police said the victim broke his nose and sustained other serious injuries during the incident.

Truly regretable, youth have an inability to reason before taking action.Only afterwards once caught can they comprehend the seriousness of their crime, then comes the tears upon conviction !! Victims ought to participate in determining punishment providing death was not the end result to that crime.

Must have been pretty scary. Definitely wouldn't want that happening to me.

Doesn't say in article, but I assume the abducted guy was a stranger to them from how it is written. Be wary. I imagine this kind of crime will increase w/ the current society.

These kinds of these sadly tend to increase in frequency as economic conditions worsen.

I agree, there is always crime everwhere. But crime is going down in Japan -this was reported. I mean I laugh when I hear about a convenience store robbery on Japan national news. And it is even reported on the national level if it is robbed with a screwdriver.

Many past posters have confirmed that also:

What a bunch of she-men! 3 of 'em anyway. Why in the world would 3 grown men want to kidnap and assault a lone individual? Well, I hope the judges have the brains to throw the book at these wanna-be-punk adults.

Now if the victim had it coming to him because he was stalking someone the suspects knew or anything similar I would completely agree with this news but as it seems this was just some random attack... wow.
