Police in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, have arrested an unemployed 33-year-old man on suspicion of killing his 56-year-old mother.
According to police, Toshihiko Toyama allegedly beat his mother Yuko multiple times over 10 days this month at their home in Atsuta Ward, Fuji TV reported. On Sunday morning, Yuko collapsed and her son called 119. However, she died later that day in hospital.
Toyama was arrested following his mother's death.
Police said Toyama has admitted to the charge and said the physical assaults occurred every day, and that he hit his mother multiple times in the face. He has so far not given any motive for assaulting his mother.

Really??? Your mother, who brought you into this world? Whatever injustice you believe she committed against you, the least you could do is get freakin' job and move your self-centered, lazy @ss out of her house instead of beating her.

His own mum.... you almost get desensitized to this sort of news over here. Another sad example of family breakdown.

No doubt this bum was just a NEET sponging off his mum and abusing her to take out his frustrations of not being able to function in society. I can understand the mother's love, but she should have turned this loon over to the cops as soon as the beatings started.

RIP victim.

No trial. Just a rope with a short drop. Don't waste taxpayer's money on this POS.
RIP mom - you deserved so much more than this ungrateful excuse for a son.

Yeah, screw due process, and a justice system. Too much money. We shouldn't have to pay money to ensure justice. Just kill anyone accused. Maybe some innocents will get caught up, but more guilty people will.

"Yuko collapsed and her son called 119. well at least the grand "abandonment of a body" rule, appears to be not applicable.

enough with the straw man arguments. the man confessed and all evidence points to him being guilty. this isn't some sherlock holme's whodunit. the less money we spend on these animals the better.

Yeah, and it's not like there has ever been any false confessions in Japan. Have there?
Yeah, and it's not like evidence has ever pointed at one person, yet ended up actually being someone else. Has it?

I feel sorry for the mother but I have to wonder, was she tied up so she couldn't run to the nearest police station for help? Or to the neighbors? I'm not blaming her for her own death but ten days is a long time when you're being beaten everyday.
