So he doesn't remember anything but he does deny the intent to kill. That means he does remember the incident, or he couldn't have denied it.

The lack of taking responsibility and being held accountable is part of the hive like backwards logic. Brush it under the carpet and hold onto ones over bloated pride and total obversion of being anything less than the perfect person they think they are, pathetic.

Why is this always the go to excuse for committing a crime? Do they think they can honestly get away with is by claiming that they don't remember what they did??

Because taking responsibility for one's actions are apparently too much. Like Shingollira wrote, people should just man up. It's quite irritating how often we get to read here stuff like "I don't remember anything", "I was drunk" and so on...

But how they believe that those stupid excuses will save them, I don't know...Actually it is a quite stupid excuse in my opinion. If the guy doesn't remember the incident, how are people supposed to believe him that he had no intention to kill her as well? To me something along the lines of "I got angry at what she said and pushed her, but I had no intention to kill her." is far more believable.

Here it is as usual, "I don't remember anything." Don't play that card. Just man up and have some balls. It doesn't matter if you intend to kill her or not; what matters is the action you took might have killed a person. Think on it and then say words.

Oops. Don't know what happened, but the fact that she lived in Germany may be significant ... she might have told him very bluntly what she thought of his bad manners, thus enraging him.
