Man arrested after threatening police officers with knife

Police in Kamagaya, Chiba Prefecture, have arrested a 50-year-old unemployed man on suspicion of attempted murder after he threatened two police officers with a knife.

According to police, the incident occurred at around 3:25 p.m. Sunday, Sankei Shimbun reported. Police received a call saying that a man was brandishing a knife on the street. Two officers went to investigate. 

They found the suspect, Kiyonobu Shimoyashiki, outside his home, with the knife in his hand. When the officers approached him, Shimoyashiki said “I’m going to kill you.” The officers were able to subdue Shimoyashiki without anyone being injured.

The person who called police was Shimoyashiki’s neighbor. He told police Shimoyashiki had suddenly come to his house and knocked on the door. He said he wanted to talk to him and refused to return home, so the neighbor called 110.

Police said Shimoyashiki has denied the charge but gave no motive. Neighbors said there had been bad blood between Shomoyashiki and his enighbor.

They found the suspect, Kiyonobu Shimoyashiki, outside his home, with the knife in his hand. When the officers approached him, Shimoyashiki said “I’m going to kill you.” The officers were able to subdue Shimoyashiki without anyone being injured.

Deep deep respect to those officers for disarming him without not only not killing him, but also not even injuring him. Deep deep respect.

That doesn't sound like suspicions! Son, thats a promise! He made that decision to go through with his actions!
