Aichi prefectural police on Sunday arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of abandoning the body of a woman who was found dead in a rice field in Toyota City last month.

According to investigators, the suspect, Daiki Yorozui, turned himself into police on Saturday night and confessed to having left the body of former colleague Aya Kotanigawa, 22, in the field, Fuji TV reported Monday.

Kotanigawa’s body was found in the field on April 26. Her body had been wrapped in a white sheet and she had no shoes or socks on, police said.

A police investigation revealed that she had been a company employee of a temp employment firm based in Aichi Prefecture since last November. Police further found articles left at the scene linking the victim to Yorozui, who was a full-time employee at the same company. The field where the victim’s body was found is located just next to Yorozui’s apartment, police said.

Kotanigawa went missing in early February, according to her parents. She was living by herself in an apartment building in Toyota City.

According to police, Yorozui is believed to have abandoned the victim’s body on Feb 9, but no information on the circumstances of her death have been revealed yet.

Police said Yorozui has admitted abandoning Kotanigawa’s body.

Abandoning a body.......the precursor to murder charges in this case I'll bet. Now at least the cops can take their time in interrogating this guy.

He probably meant too young to die.

Well the police didn't catch him; he handed himself in. What does that tell you?

Looking forward to knowing the reasons that led him to commit such atrocity. I hope he remembers. Affective thoughts to the family of the victim.

Yes I AM the Godfather and I speak up for the victims. This girl was BRUTALLY MURDERED and the sociopaths with no empathy are complaining about GRAMMAR.

Aya-chan was 22 and only two years past being an adult. Having survived all the perverts and paedophiles she and her family were probably hoping that she was safe now.

But no...
