Man arrested for abusing 2-month-old twin sons

Police in Kamisu, Ibaraki Prefecture, have arrested a 30-year-old unemployed man on suspicion of abusing his two-month-old twin sons last year.

According to police, Satoshi Ishikawa was arrested last month on suspicion of beating his sons, who were born last August, at his wife’s childhood home in Choshi City, Chiba Prefecture, in October, Fuji TV reported. The older of the twins was admitted to hospital with a head injury in mid-October. On Oct 31, the younger twin was admitted to hospital after several of his ribs were fractured.

The twins have since recovered and are currently at a child welfare center.

Police said Ishikawa has denied harming the twins.

How typical! The coward beats on 2 month old babies. It should be no surprise he is not man enough to own up to his actions.

Last time I checked, that doesn't just "happen" to babies! And I don't think that excuse is going to fly in this case!

Just to put perspective on this evil;

a baby cannot yet hold up its head, at 2 months.

In an adult how painful are fractured ribs?

A baby at that age cries anyway, no one else would know otherwise

except the beast who did this.

Damn I really would like to know the crime rate for the unemployed people in here.

In more than half of the articles about crime I read, the perpetrator is unemployed...

And...where is mom in all this? Likely the bread earner. As for the father character...early stages of hikikomori...30 year old and unemployed? Sure sounds complex. Glad to learn the young ones are doing well.

Look at the timeline on this whole deal.

The babies were born in August 2019, admitted to the hospital in October 2019, and the lowlife was arrested in February 2020? So what was happening in between all this? More abuse? Did the deadbeat finally get a job?

I wonder if it is just poor writing and research or poor police/authorities/welfare work. Or all of the above?

He beat eight week old babies. Utter scum.

What bothers me aside the beatings is the 30-year-old unemployed man. There are so many jobs out there regardless of pay just take the job until a better one comes up and be responsible vs unemployed. The delivery companies were short drivers, convenience stores need workers, companies need laborers, there are jobs. As I posted it may not pay the best but its a job and income coming in. There is no ball and chain that ties the guy to servitude or the job is short of slavery with no wages earned or paid out. Perhaps a few hours a week of community service will be incentive vs rotting in a jail until he gets a sentence.
