.. The system starts working! And it took Japan only about 100 years to recognize and punish such "education methods".

In my 27 years of life I've heard so much of abuse of children in Japan that doesn't surprise me, it's disgusting. Abusing a child is BEYOND cowardly.

Why would a grown man kick such a precious gift as a little daughter in the stomach? I guess she isn't "precious" to him...so sad

The elephant in the room ... mental health care.

People who do this generally are not crazy, they are just screwed up, sociopathic and violent. He was obviously sane enough to hold a job. I have seen horrible parents here, who lack an iota of compassion or love for their kids - probably because they were raised that way. Mental health care will never reach these people as long as they can function in society to outside appearances.

Why do I have this UGLY and DISTURBING feelings that will hear about this girl again, but not in a pleasant way.
This girl should be placed in protective custody until the father is fully rehabilitated, it is often that parents at this age abuse their children but mostly unreported.

You and I both. This is EXACTLY where the system failed. They placed her back in her home where he lives. I know he was accused of kicking her, but when he gets out of the slammer, I HIGHLY doubt he's going to be running into the arms of his daughter.
