Police in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, have arrested a 34-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder after he allegedly pushed a 25-year-old female acquaintance from the seventh floor of a building in November last year.

Police said Yuji Fujimura, a company executive from Chikusa Ward, is accused of pushing the woman from the seventh floor landing of a commercial building in the busy Nishiki district of Nagoya, NTV reported. The woman fell 22 meters and suffered serious injuries including a broken pelvis.

Police said that earlier, Fujimura and the woman had been seen arguing in a restaurant in the building and that he grabbed the woman's hair and collar.

The woman was taken to hospital after being pushed and was able to tell police about Fujimura.

Police quoted Fujimura as saying, "I got annoyed at her attitude and became violent, but I didn’t really mean to kill her.”

Jesus, surviving a seven-story fall is pretty incredible.

"I got annoyed at her attitude and became violent, but I didn’t really mean to kill her.” Pushing a person from 7th floor but didn't intent to kill? what a crazy thinking to let the police believe you moron.

A 6th floor fall onto a hard surface is usually fatal. She is a very lucky lady but still very unfortunate to have met Fujimura. "I didn't mean to kill her"? Good luck with that defense.

i was wondering why the headline said “attempted” murder.

that’s very impressive but also something you would want to avoid having to be impressive at doing.
