Police in Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture, have arrested a 49-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder after he stabbed his 61-year-old boss and also hit him with a golf club.

According to police, Mitsuhito Fuchizaki, a company employee residing in Sanuki, Kagawa Prefecture, hit his boss in the back with a golf club as he was walking to work along a street in Takamatsu at around 7:10 a.m. on July 14, Kyodo News reported. He also stabbed the man in the chest with a fruit knife.

The victim was taken to hospital where doctors told police his injuries will take about three months to recover from.

Although Fuchizaki fled the scene, surveillance camera footage in the vicinity showed the incident and he was arrested on Monday.

Police said the two men work for an electronics manufacturer and the victim is Fuchizaki’s immediate boss. Police are questioning co-workers about the source of the trouble between the two men.

Must be a mentalist. Needs psychiatric evaluation before deciding what to do with the seemingly potty fellow.

Not condoning attempted murder. But I’ve been around enough abusive Japanese bosses where everyone kind of wishes they could do the same thing but don’t for obvious reasons.

There are ways to get around abusive bosses. My best one was to date his daughter and stay the night in his house. No violence, just joy.

@Rodney

Dating or, worse, marrying the boss’s daughter is a recipe for disaster! Then you really can’t quit or breakup lol.

He did what I had thought about doing to many intolerant self-centered abusive bosses I have worked for but don't have the courage to do any violent acts.

Most people don't commit violent acts because of morals, and a clear understanding of right and wrong, not because of a "lack of courage".

I'll bet 139JPY that he told police, "Yes, I hit him in the head with a golf club, and stabbed him in the chest. But, I didn't mean to kill him."

Well said, and don’t forget his lonely wife.

I always carry a fruit knife and golf club(s) with me when going to work too. I just never walk with my immediate supervisor. No temptation to go clubbing.

Power harassment. Or overstress at work? Don't ever put a hand on your boss, he was there when u need work.
