Police in Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture, have arrested a 49-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder after he stabbed his 61-year-old boss and also hit him with a golf club.
According to police, Mitsuhito Fuchizaki, a company employee residing in Sanuki, Kagawa Prefecture, hit his boss in the back with a golf club as he was walking to work along a street in Takamatsu at around 7:10 a.m. on July 14, Kyodo News reported. He also stabbed the man in the chest with a fruit knife.
The victim was taken to hospital where doctors told police his injuries will take about three months to recover from.
Although Fuchizaki fled the scene, surveillance camera footage in the vicinity showed the incident and he was arrested on Monday.
Police said the two men work for an electronics manufacturer and the victim is Fuchizaki’s immediate boss. Police are questioning co-workers about the source of the trouble between the two men.© Japan Today
