Man arrested for attempted murder of 47-year-old daughter

Police in Sapporo on Tuesday arrested a 74-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed his 47-year-old daughter at their apartment.

According to police, Shuzo Kato stabbed his daughter Natsumi several times in the back at around 7 p.m. Monday at their apartment in Kita Ward, Fuji TV reported. He then called 110 and said he had stabbed his daughter.

Natsumi was taken to hospital where she remained in a coma on Tuesday, police said.

Police said Kato had knife wounds on his hands and arm and will wait until he recovers before questioning him further.

Now how can a father stab his daughter ?  Not once but multiple of times & in the back. I could not do it. But If your gonna be such a coward to stab your daughter at least be man enough to do it face to face. Granted we don't know the whole story but if she was abusing her father then maybe he had enough and just lost it. Hope the news follows up on this story.

Considering he's a lunatic that stabbed his daughter, he may have just unintentionally cut himself in the process.

Mocheake; You KNOW WHY.

Examine the grip on your standard kitchen knife, which is most likely what he used. They are not designed to stab and hence with the use of a lot of power the grip will slip and you will be cut.
