Police in Nirasaki, Yamanashi Prefecture, said Monday they have arrested a 40-year-old man on suspicion of attempting to kill a girl in her late teens.
According to police, Mikio Fukushima, a company employee from Honjo, Saitama Prefecture, stabbed the teenage girl in the neck with a knife as they sat in a parked car at around 9:35 a.m. Sunday, Sankei Shimbun reported.
The girl was able to get out of the car, which was in the parking lot of the Midai Physical Education Center, and ran for help. A passerby saw her and called 110.
The girl was taken to hospital where doctors said her wound will take about one month to recover from.
Police did not release the age of the girl but said she lived in Yamanashi Prefecture and that she and Fukushima knew each other. Police said Fukushima has been giving vague responses since his arrest.

The story doesn't sound good from here for both sides

So, he brought a knife with him?

Why does this action (sitting in a car) that millions of people do every day, that is entirely normal, not sound good?

A man in his forties sitting in a girl in her late teens. She says she and Fukushima "knew" each other. What do you think that means?

More to the point what was she doing in the car with him? Most likely one of those compensated dating scams, he probably found out she had another sugar daddy and got angry.

I think it mean she thought he was a guy she could trust, and got into a car with him.
Sure, that's why it doesn't look good for him. But what was said was:
Why does this not sound good for her?

Whatever he and the Girl are supposed to do together in the car doesn't count here.
What counts is, that It is absolutely a very very awful crime to stab someone in the Neck with a knife!
For what reason ever!
And this Guy has to go to prison for attempted murder.
Simple and Easy!

they knew each other? Have you even been in the car of someone you DIDN'T know at 9:30 on a Sunday morning parked in a parking lot?
