Man arrested for attempting to rob his girlfriend’s grandparents

Police in Sakai, Osaka Prefecture, said Saturday they have arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of attempting to rob his girlfriend’s grandparents.

According to police, Kaisei Yamato, a part-time convenience store employee, has been dating the couple’s granddaughter and had previously visited their apartment, Fuji TV reported.

Police said that Yamato broke into the apartment at around 1:20 p.m. on Nov 24. His girlfriend’s 69-year-old grandfather was home alone and Yamato bound his hands and legs and proceeded to look for money. When his girlfriend’s 76-year-old grandmother returned home, Yamato thrust a box cutter knife at her, causing the woman to fall.

The couple sustained minor injuries, and Yamato ended up fleeing the scene without stealing anything.

Following his arrest, Yamato was quoted by police as saying: “I had to steal in order to pay back my debts. I knew that they had money somewhere.”

How would he know that his girlfriend's grandparents had money? I would look into that girlfriend as well.

There are a lot of desperate people out there under the fail of Abenomics. His debts are most likely health insurance, city tax and pension. All city halls are under orders to clear all debts coz they are going broke and they have no qualms about taking your whole salary until the debts are cleared regardless of the destitution they create. This is the real Japan in 2019. Both petty and violent crime are rising quickly as the failed Abenomics forces more and more people into destitution.

So this Bozo was going to steal from the grandparents of his girlfriend, people that know him and know what he looks like and what pay off his depts. and live happily ever after. Not many brain cells at work for this genius. This was definitely his way of breaking off the relationship with his girlfriend.

You knew they had money somewhere, but you didn't steal anything. Good work. So you're probably gonna be charged with attempted murder (they know who you are) and on top of that, your girlfriend will probably dump you. (win win!)

See you monday at the combini, Kaisei.

Smart guy. No wonder he is working part-time at a convenience store.

He's a keeper.............................................................not!

Maybe he needs to change from part time to full time at the store. I’m more apt to believe his debts are from gambling, or his GF needs that LV bag.

I gotta know - are they still dating?
