Police in Kiryu, Gunma Prefecture, said Friday they have arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of abusing his three-year-old stepson at their home.
According to police, Yusaku Niino, who is a factory worker, stomped on the boy’s left leg and thigh, causing a bone fracture, between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Wednesday night, Sankei Shimbun reported.
Niino then called 119. The child was taken to hospital which notified a child welfare center of a possible case of abuse. The center contacted police.
Police said Niino has admitted to the charge and quoted him as saying he lost his temper because the child wouldn’t stop crying.
Niino lives with his 22-year-old wife, his stepson and a daughter. His wife was out at the time. The daughter was not harmed, police said.

WOW, this will cause the child's leg to have length problems (broken leg and thigh will be shorter over time) when the child gets older, because "growth lines" in the leg will be disrupted. What a parent.
