Police in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, have arrested a 43-year-old man on suspicion of assaulting his wife, who is in her 40s, at their home.

According to police, the incident occurred at around 4:50 p.m. on Sunday, Hokkaido Broadcasting Corp reported. Police said the woman was able to run out of the house and call 110.

When police arrived at the scene, they found the woman’s husband in an intoxicated state. The woman told police her husband had gone out earlier in the day and that when he returned home, they started arguing.

Police quoted the man as saying he got fed up after his wife scolded him for not contacting her to say when he would be coming home.

The woman suffered minor head and face injuries, police said.

Started drinking with his bento on a Sunday and just kept on going.

Blame the alcohol if you want, but it's just an excuse, the dude was an arse even without drinking!

Bet it wasnt the first time she nagged on him. There is a hell of a lot more going on here than just the drinking!

A little marriage advice for you: If you come crawling home drunk at 5am without telling your wife you would be late and she doesn't complain, it's because she just sent her boyfriend home at 4am.

Isn't this a normal case in Japanese marriage only that most are not reported.

Another violent, drunken coward. Chronic failure of a human being - cant be considered a real "man" - who needs to be dealt with.

At 43 the violent criminal don't even have the (bad) excuse of being educated with domestic violence as justified, best case scenario he will be still able to correct his terrible violent personality even if for that he had to get this arrest (and other things) and maybe even losing his marriage.

Alcohol is a devils drink and a poison they should ban such substances and make it illegal. No other drugs makes angry only alcohol. I bet you if this guy was smoking THC he be a calm person.

How unfortunate for the man. Alcoholism is a disease and people need help, not criticism. I hope he gets better.

I think women need to be educated on how to handle men who are under the influence. Inebriated people are incoherent and not cognitive of their actions when intoxicated. It is futile to scold or try to hold a logical conversation with someone in that state.

Regardless, you don't beat someone who is nagging you.

Never hit your wife or any woman.

Poor man!

Yes. You lock yourself in the bedroom and call the police. And when the police arrive, they take him to jail. Then you divorce him for domestic violence and make sure to take half his stuff.

My partner hits me every now and then, but I am 2.5 times her weight, so I am happy she got it out of her system. Of course I would never hit them, but I have been known to throw a bag of ice into her bath when she is bathing, if she nags me.

sounds like a nagging wife and the guy was drunk and lost control.

japan doesn’t entitle you to half. My ex got ¥4.5 million of MY money, but I kept my apartment.

wallace,

Indeed a gentleman would never shrike his wife or any woman.

Never underestimate the female of the species to acts of disloyalty, treachery, perfidy.

As a man you have to just turn the other cheek and walk away.

Walk away is the best option.

Yes Ok fair enough, this article is not the most solicitous example of marital bliss.

Another week, another hero beats up on a woman. Disgusting.

A husband should not hit his wife even if he suffers DV unless self-defense is necessary.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Should a woman ever physically strike her husband for any reason even if the male has never struck her?

If you have a violent partner then it's time to move out.
